Dr Hannah Rayment-Jones is a midwife and postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Women and Children’s Health. Her research focuses on maternal and newborn health inequalities using realist methodology. She is committed to ensuring the patient voice is heard in the research process, particularly those from underserved groups. Hannah’s NIHR funded PhD ‘Project20’ researched how maternity care can improve clinical outcomes and experiences for women with low socio-economic status and social risk factors. Her poster today presents findings relating to access and engagement. Her recently completed NIHR Development and Skills award focused on health data science with an aim to analyse inequalities in birth outcomes and improve the reporting and recording of ethnicity in maternity care.
