Applied Research Collaboration South London – Involvement

At the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London our research covers health and social care for people of all ages and backgrounds. We recognise the value in bringing together people with experience using health and social care services in south London with our researchers. The views and experiences of patients, service users, carers and other local people must inform our research – from choosing what to study, through to how we plan the studies, carry out the research and understand our findings. We also need to let people know what we have found and help research findings to improve health and care services.

The Involvement Learning Network is an inclusive space to share experiences of, and learning on, involvement, for ARC South London researchers, public contributors and collaborators. This is one of several ways in which the ARC supports involvement of local patients, service users, carers and the public in research; others include an involvement team and diverse Public Research Panel.
